HP Deskjet 2632 (printer-scanner)

Daveyboy:
I experienced problems  with a HP Envy 5640 Multifunction printer that had worked perfectly under LL 3.8 but failed to work under LL 5.2. After doing some research I discovered that there is a known and well documented bug relating to several HP Printers and Ubuntu 20.04 which LL5.2 is based on.
The fix is as simple as opening XFCE terminal and then typing "sudo apt purge ippusbxd" enter. when complete, reboot PC and then print test page from printers properties page. ALL functions worked i.e. scanner, print multiple pages to single sheet etc - perfectly for me after following the above instructions and should solve all your issues also

Sorry not sure why, font size went haywire.

Jerry:
It's not officially supported, I gues HP skipped over it (unusual). You'll have to use the IPP method - https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=239561 and https://scruss.com/blog/2019/05/02/possibly-painless-network-printing-from-your-raspberry-pi/

Jerry:
A Linux technician could not install it?? Send him/her back to University :)

@firenice03 half of your post is unreadable.

@leotje
You don't mention the model, but if you follow the manual - it works.

It did for my sooo old HPLasetjet1000

If you try and it doesn't you could follow the link provided below in the HP section... Resources for compatible Printers

Not sure what you've gone thru to try and install... but if you have changed/installed a lot it may be beneficial to revert to a previous state (Time Shift,  if you made a backup) ...
