Post by: Dragoljub on February 23, 2017, 06:07:06 PM
Hello everybody,

Related to Genius Vivid 1200 XE old scanner, can this advice on link bellow work? I tried, opened user folder as admin and created folders advised in attachment, but I am getting message that library can not be opened.

It worked now, but in the same way as first advise on first link. I was not making the right folders in right locations earlier. I created several folders Gt68xx on paths, usr/share/sane, then usr/share/sane/xsane, then, usr/local/share. I am not sure which one is important but it is solved.

It worked only once, then it broke:( when set to colour preview. It is an old and sensitive scanner and I moved it during scanning, lamp is on half.

Good to read you got it configured. :)

Do you think it is a hardware movement inside, or because it was moved during the scanning it stopped software process ?

Is there a setting to purge documents being scanned ?
Or maybe using Lite tweaks and clear cache memory can do it.

I hate to say it, unplug scanners power and plug it back in  :-X
