Go into Printers and delete your printer first (right click, Delete).
Then follow the instructions on this page - http://tipsonubuntu.com/2016/08/14/canon-printer-driver-scangear-mp-ubuntu-16-04/ very carefully read all the text. Good luck :)

Hi, from the video I think it is printing in 'draft' mode which is the lowest quality. I don't have this printer but do you have any printer control panel, where quality, colour or black only can be selected?
My Lexmark printer prints fast in draft mode and 'misses' bits of letters on some fonts but not on others.
That's as much as I can offer, sorry.

i think your suggestions helped , i made another video showing some of the printer settings that i changed and stuff, plus there might be a slight funny moment, life is funny.
the printer behavior is better i think, maybe you might see a difference plus i now need to buy a new black ink cartridge .
thank you for your help, hugs  :-*

here is the link to my second video.

:o i edited my post and included a link to my canon printer video . i hope the video helps a tiny bit.

oh, it wont print in color , only in black , would be nice if it prints in color too, but its ok if it does not , black is more important.

:o :o ???  i know the ink levels are still ok. when its time to buy new ink, how do i let or get linux lite 3.8 to see the new ink cartridges ?. it takes two of them, one black and one color . plus my printer is printing super fast, ha ha , how do i slow down the speed a tad ?, the printer driver its using is the canon MG3200-series .

here is my video , showing it printing too fast. ha ha .
