Using Linux Lite 3.2 with a Canon MG5650 all single sided pages print perfectly as expected every time.
Duplex pages also printed perfectly as expected every time UNTIL VERY RECENTLY however, now whenever I try to print using duplex printing , the first page always starts printing 28mm higher up the page, therebye cutting off part of the document, regardles of what type of file is being printed. No settings have been changed in the printer configuration files although I have tried deleting and reinstalling the printer without any success.
As I said, both options worked perfectly up until very recently so I can only assume that one of the recent updates may have caused this issue but I am at a loss as to how to solve it and would very much appreciate any help that you guys might be able to offer

Did you recently receive a update/s for canon drivers/software via Install Updates?
-
Not entirely sure Jerry but I do install all available updates on a regular basis.
Printer has been running on whaterver default drivers were installed whjen I first installed LL3.2 if that helps
-
Forgot to add , PC is Dual boot and duplex printing works perfectly under Windows, hense my assumption that the issue is driver related rather than a hardware problem
-
Did you install any Canon specific drivers or software?
-
No - as I said previously, only whatever was installed by default when installing LL3.2
-
You said drivers, and didn't mention software, I have to be thorough with my questions to eliminate each potential issue.
-
Are you on 64bit or 32bit?
-
32 Bit Jerry

Try these drivers:
Scanner - http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/contents/ASIA/EN/0100627102.html
Printer - http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/contents/ASIA/EN/0100626502.html

Thanks Jerry
Printer Driver resolved the Duplex printing problem and although I didn't really need the scanner driver as simple scan was working flawlessly with the machine I decided to install this as well as a belt and braces approach.
