I'm recommending a Wifi USB adapter for Series 3.x to a client in the USA.
Can someone please tell me what Wifi USB adapter for Series 3.x they have that works out of the box?
Thank you,
Jerry
They're creating a lightweight version of Zorin based on XFCE and deliberately using the spelling 'Lite'.
Thoughts on this?

Well it's said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Here's Linux Lite/LXDE, I have not tried it personally. What do you think?

Hi

Now that Linux Lite is utilizing Conky for its Lite Widget even more users might get interested in this handy system monitoring tool.
I just discovered one of the best manuals I've seen in many, many years using and tweaking Conky:
Casey's Conky Reference with Examples
Especially the last section Conky Tips and Tricks caught my attention.
Hopefully it might be useful to some of you

Hello everyone
I'm relatively new to Linux Lite. I have been running an old version (1.06?) for a couple of years with no issues, but I wanted to take advantage of version 3.2 and upgrade. I made a Live USB using Start Up Disk Creator with no problem. But when I run it, I get this message " vesamenu.c32: not a COM32R image". If I press TAB, I get no menu options. If I type "live" I get this result "live xforcevesa check memtest hd restart".
So I'm stumped. I searched and found no solution that works. Before I give up in frustration, I am looking for guidance from the forum. My system info file is attached.
Please help, Javier
One thing that always bothered me was that the FireFox title bar uses a lot of space. This is even worse when your display isn't the biggest.
A few days back I found a handy Firefox add-on: Hide Caption Titlebar Plus. I will put the tabs on the same level as the close/max/min buttons.

It also comes with a lot of options for how the window buttons behave for example only closing the active tab when clinking the close button or the tab size.
The totals for torrent downloads should be over 200k. Seems the most significant bit didn't rollover from 1 to a 2.
One thing I’ve always liked about WindowsOS is the simplicity of plug-and-play capability with external devices, e.g. an additional monitor.
In fact, the only real reason I have WindowsOS dual-booted with Linux [see set-up (1) in sig] is for this plug-and-play capability. I like to play videos or TV programmes on my laptop through the 26" (66cm) monitor of our Samsung TV (type LE26B450), so that viewing can be shared easily with all the family. And WindowsOS does this so easily, automatically & instantly resizing and finding the optimal screen resolution without any messing around with settings etc.
With Linux Lite & Linux Mint, and some other distros, I found this to be a bit of a pain to set up.
However, I’ve just discovered a distro that has WindowsOS–like plug-and-play simplicity with our Samsung TV monitor, and wondered if this capability (for additional monitors in general) could be packaged into future releases of LL? Details are as follows: it involves set-up (2) in signature, which is a 10” Samsung NP-N145 netbook running with PCLinuxOS (a.k.a. PCLOS). This netbook doesn't have HDMI output, so I used an ESYNIC VGA to HDMI Converter to play laptop videos & programmes through the TV monitor via an HDMI cable. It worked: instant plug-and-play, hooray!!!

Please could we have this capability built into future releases of LL?
The only additional thing you need to do is go to the VLC player toolbar and change the audio setting so that the sound plays through the TV and not through the netbook (just 2 clicks away).
I purchased the VGA to HDMI converter from Amazon for £12.95: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00PAGKZP4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hope this is useful to someone
Cheers
Mike
