Using an Epson XP-400 printer scanner and LL 3.8. Printer OK both 32 bit OS and 64 bit OS with usb. Scanner OK with 32 bit OS wireless but fails with 64 bit OS states unable to find scanner. I have spent hours trying to find a solution but have not found any other reports of a similar situation.
I am a windows refugee and have been using LL for a year or more so not an expert in linux.

DELL Vostro 1510 laptop, LL 3.8 dual boot 32 bit and 64 bit, 250Gb SSD hard drive and 3Gb of RAM

Thanks for any help Tony
