I believe I found it.

Right click on whisker menu icon.

Click on Edit applications.

Line at the top reads: Invalid desktop file detected? Please see details.

Click details.

Parsing errors show up.

Click on the file folder on the right side of the error.

usr/share/applications opens.

Find the folder and open as administrator.

Delete the file(s).

That took care of the kde issue(s).

Couldn't get the hpscan to let me open as administrator but I'm not too concerned about that one.

Ok, how do I mark this as solved????

Thx for the input....
Have had some kde games for a long time but never saw the kde4 stuff before.
I did find a kde4 folder in usr/share. I deleted that folder.I also see a kdevappwizard folder. I have not deleted that one yet.
It contains a folder Templates which contains kpartsapp.tar.bz2.Wow..
Gotta admit... never been in here before and am in way over my head.
If you feel it's necessary I'll do a backup of my folders and reinstall lite.
Thanks again

Linux Lite should NOT have any KDE software installed. Somehow or another you have installed some KDE stuff which will usually have dependency problems running in XFCE. You might want to open up synaptic and type KDE into the search bar and uninstall all the KDE packages listed as installed or use the broken filter. You may or may not be able to successfully uninstall the KDE stuff this way because in fact newer KDE stuff could be on a different PATH to root through synaptic, like the difference between Debian 9 and 10. If you want KDE try Kubuntu instead of Linux Lite, but if you're having trouble with Linux Lite it's going to be an even longer more painful road for you with KDE. The best answer with Linux Lite is to run the default system, and don't install extra applications if you don't know what you're doing.

Whisker Menu, Edit Applications, MenuLibre Parsing Errors.
/usr/share/applications/hp-uiscan.desktop
Exec program '/usr/bin/hp-uiscan' has not been found in the PATH

/usr/share/applications/kde4/kmailservice.desktop
Exec program 'kmailservice %u' has not been found in the PATH

/usr/share/applications/kde4/ktelnetservice.desktop
Exec program 'ktelnetservice %u' has not been found in the PATH
The first one for hp I felt comfortable with as I use an hp printer (even though I don't have a clue what parsing is or means, or what a PATH is). I'm not a programmer, just a 74 year old guy using linux.
The next 2 items kmailservice and ktelnetserice I am not familiar with at all.
I've looked through linux forums and it just got more confusing for me..
Just want to know if it's something I need to worry about?
ThanksAmigo
