Well, I think I found a fix to my issue. All I had to do is delete the /var/lib/dpkg/updates/0055 file and everything else got installed. Now I have to find a way to mark this thread as SOLVED. LOL  :)

I'm curious why you would install LL if you wanted to use Cinnamon.

Hello everybody. I seem to be having an issue in my system. I tried to install the cinnamon desktop in linux lite 2.8 and make a how to video about it. But I accidentally closed the terminal window and had to delete the lock file of dpkg. Then I tried the install again. It gave me an error of #parsing. What is this error and how do I fix it. Thanks  :)
