I download a lot of movies most of them 720p, But every now and then I have come across some that are 1080p and they want to act like a scratched up dvd by skipping a lot. I have tried to download the same movie from different sites and users and still get the same results. This only happens when I download 1080p movies.

What happens if you try to play an actual DVD?  Same thing, or is the video fine?

Is it possible that the downloads are just bad?  Can you take the file to a different computer and test it there to see if same thing happens?

There are plenty of people around who are willing to help, but they can't help if they have no idea about the system you are running on. Hardware specs would be most helpful.
