@firenice03
Many Thanks...
What I'm going to do, is see if Kendek comes back with anything after my last response to him.
If he's not able to find anything, I will do what I have done to date(many times now) install 2.4 and get it all basically set-up, configured and networked, I can do that now in @ 30 mins. (I have a checklist)
That is when I normally install systemback, one of my 1st added things, so I can create a restore point, and also take a live image, just in case.
Then I will do an update to 2.6. see if systemback still works, it as on numerous other installs.
Maybe one of the thing I've been doing on 2.4, when applied directly to a new 2.6 maybe breaking something..??

Thanks

I've used the GUI on mine... Its a clean install of LL2.6 64bit and seems to work fine, I've made a few restore points...

The optiplex in my sig..

- I'm not in front of it at the moment.. But as I recall I typically launch from the menu, prompt for password then GUI displays - no hesitation/hang or error...

Hi,

I'm currently working with dev on systemback not running a new fresh LL2.6(64bit)install.
I have never had an issue with systemback not running, but this is my 1st 2.6 install
All my other installs have been 2.0/2.4, then I have upgraded them to 2.6

I wonder if somebody can check on a straight 2.6 install, not an upgrade to 2.6

The symptoms are:

If I,
select the Menu > System > Systemback then NO GUI

If in a terminal I,
Code: [Select]
gksu systembackit asks for password, nothing, NO GUI

If in a terminal I,
Code: [Select]
/usr/lib/systemback/sbsustart systemback gtk+

I then get the message:
An error occurred while executing the following command:
systemback authorization dave
Exit code: 255

Thanks... Dave
