Thanks Valtam But,..... I did copy those pictures from that file and placed them in the same file in Beryl and I am not able to see them in the list. Is there a limit for how many you can display in the desktop wallpapers?

Or do I need to place them in a separate folder?

 8) You're welcome Ohjrson. Apologies for the confusion on the wallpaper location but happy to see you were able to get fixed regardless. Good work.

Thanks guys but found them in /user/shares/xfc4/backdrops. Will be copying them to add to LL 2.0 Thanks Scott, it was your link that led me to Valtams, even if it was late, post that had the actual location.

Many thanks.

Hmm just checked that in LL 1.08 /user/shares/backgrounds and found nothing. Is there another possible location for them?

The wallpapers (or backgrounds as XFCE refers to them) are located here on my LL 2.0 system:

/usr/share/backgrounds/xfce/

It's probably the same location for LL 1.8. If not, let me know and I'll boot LL 1.8 in Virtualbox and look.

To save the wallpapers navigate to them and just do a copy and paste to any location you like.

I like saving wallpapers too. Take a look at this post I made

I am not sure I understand the problem - aren't they just image files? Wouldn't one just save them like any other image?

Hey People
I am just wondering how does one save the wallpapers from ....oh say LL 1.08 to use in LL 2.0

Any ideas?

Thanks. I just like some of the other wallpapers. Getting ready (Saving home folder etc....or backing up) to install LL 2.0 and just wanted to keep those other wallpapers.
