Yes, my Brother laser printer and it will print if I use GNU.
I had to load a generic driver that the computer found on the internet as I could not get the Brother software to load properly. 'm sure it is me as I am ignorant on all the Linux commands and steps to install the software properly.

Assuming you're using Shotwell for image browsing.
Can you check if there is any printers installed?
I won't let an old, but fully functional computer die just because some company tell me that they won't make no more security updates to their OS. Thanks Linux :)

I am NOT a Linux expert by any means. I have a rudimentary idea how to operate it only.
The problem is I'm running Linux Lite 3.8 Kernel 4.4.0-166
When I go t o a photo or document to PRINT it the option to print is not listed in any drop down menu.
If I go to FILE there is NO option to print
If I right click on the image there is NO option to print
The only way I can print is to right click and open GNU and print from its menu.
The PRINT option used to work as you'd expect it to,now it does not.
Please help. I will need step by step DETAILED instructions on how to correct this problem if it can be fixed.
Thank you for your time and help.
