Title: ipad and iphone
Post by: Trevor on December 08, 2017, 09:20:45 PM
Hello. Just fairly new to this great OS but I've been distro swapping for a few years now. The main reason I've kept windows is basically to use itunes to access/use my ipad and iphone. Once LL can solve this problem I'll certainly be ditching windows. If anybody knows any way to access and use my iphone 6 and 7 plus my 2nd gen ipad and can share any knowledge in regards to this would be great. Oh, and I have tried using gtkpod but no luck. Wouldn't even load an old ipod I have  :(

Hello @Trevor

there is a tutorial of how to do this here - https://askubuntu.com/questions/846942/itunes-installation-on-ubuntu-16-04-lts (https://askubuntu.com/questions/846942/itunes-installation-on-ubuntu-16-04-lts)

For paragraph #1 and #2 on the above tutorial, installing Wine and restricted extras, on Linux Lite you can do this by using Menu>System>Lite Software
Then continue with the tutorial by beginning at paragraph #3.

Back When I had my Iphone 5S. I handled my downloaded music through email. Just easier. Got a pretty penny selling that phone. Which went to the purchase of my next phone.
I own multiple computers. So my use case and thinking is different than yours.

Just zip all up and send em to your preferred email address. Then download them. Extract. Done.  I am weird that that way. Thinking outside of the box. I roll with a Samsung S7 Edge now . Life is simpler.  My Micro sd card is 125 gigs.
I did not want to fork out for a 256 gig card.

Or use Wine like suggested above.
