The keyring is causing me no end of problems.  How do I uninstall it?

I'm not sure whether that's a good idea, some package or group of packages might be using it to store credentials, I mean, is there for a reason, isn't it? What problems exactly?  Are you using auto-login and being constantly asked for a password when launching some programs, i.e. a web browser? If that's so, disable auto-login, so you'll have to type in your password every time you log in, this way the keyring  stops asking for the password. You might want to read here https://itsfoss.com/ubuntu-keyring/

Hope this helps! :)
