I never made one, so if the system doesn't do some restore points automatically then no, there aren't any.
But wait, I didn't check, let me do it...

Hi, this is my mother's PC, I don't know what she did but its desktop now looks like this
Restarting has no effect on it, how do I restore the normal desktop?
