Hello, I am trying to play an .srt file consisting of Hindi subtitles. However, using VLC media player, the subtitles just come up as squares (whereas the English subtitles play fine). I read elsewhere that this is a font issue. If so, please advise how I can install a font to allow me to play this (or another method). Thanks a lot

Hi,
It's realy ease to install fonts. Download the font of your linking in .ttf format (as a test I tried these: http://www.easynepalityping.com/download-hindi-fonts (http://www.easynepalityping.com/download-hindi-fonts))
They come packed in a .zip. Unpack the .ttf file, right click it, select "open with "Fonts"" at the top. You can see what the font looks like and if you like it click "install".
