I used the information on Xmodmap. I had to reboot before it worked.

Thanks for the help. I am a relatively new user. I am working through the Odin Project and want to remap the Caps Lock and ESC keys for ease of use in VIM.  I looked over the GUI Keyboard tool, and could not understand the options. 

Any help appreciated.
