problems with Install Updates

I deselected that PPA and tried again but had no luck.

If deselecting this PPA didn't work at all, delete it in the update-center. Then try again to update via update manager. If it doesn't help, type the following command in the terminal: sudo apt-get install -f (just copy the command and then paste it into the terminal). Then you can use Synaptic to be sure that updating is OK. Good luck!

Do you get an error other than the invalid PPA after removal? If so what is the error.

New to the forum and to Linux.  I do not have my vocabulary down, so I hope this description is intelligible.

I have had the same problem for the same amount of time.  Update manager is not able to update.

I checked for the PPA mentioned but did not see it.

My last log listed a different repository as causing a problem: <Err:14 http://ppa.launchpad.net/michael-gruz/canon/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages
  404  Not Found>

I used the Synaptic Package Manager and updated about 9 items.  It seems like there are more than that on the update log from Update Manager.

Has anyone found a way to get Linux Lite update manager to work?

I would start by trying to remove the PPA http://ppa.launchpad.net/psyke83/ppa/ubuntu  - looks like it may be the issue


This can be unchecked from "Software and Updates" under the "Other Software" tab..
Then try running updates again..
You can from terminal or from Menu > Favorites > Install Updates

Several times this week when I do my daily Install Updates I get an error message. Today I copied the log and will paste below as suggested by a pop-up message.

I should note that shortly after all this happened, and when I couldn't get anywhere with sudo apt-get update etc., a window popped up saying there was stuff to download, 125 MG worth, and that routine has run without error and with a successful completion message at the end as per usual.
