Does your android device show in thunar? If it does, you can select it, hit enter and access its contents, then you could copy/move files out or into it.

Hope this helps! :)
I use DoubleCommander.
It works fine.
All you need to do is set USB connection to data transfer via OTG cable.
It shows up as a distinct partition.
I have a Romanian version (Digi K2) of  the Oukitel Y 4800. (Android 9).
It also worked on Android 7.x (ASUS Z Liquid)
Thanks for reminding me! :)

I don't mean for this to sound like a comparison 'whine' but I have a question about connecting an android phone to Linux Lite.

When I used Linux Mint and would connect up my android phone, I would be presented with an icon on the desktop denoting the phone and could transfer files to the SD Card in the phone.

On the exact same PC, which now runs Linux Lite, if I hook up my phone an application comes up to allow me to transfer photos.  Admittedly this is pretty slick but if given a choice I would rather be able to transfer files.

Any suggestions?
