Okay, I set it for every 3 weeks. Presumably it would take some time to have "too many" kernals installed.

Activate Lite Updates Notify and this will give you future warnings about having too many Kernels installed.

Seeing so much stuff listed as no longer required, I used apt remove as the log suggested, and suddenly the widget tells me my system was recently updated! Was that why, do you think? Anyway, thanks!

Will test the system for a bit before marking "SOLVED" but at the moment, it looks okay.

Run updates again from the GUI not the terminal and post the error log if any.

Linux Lite 4.0, been running it for almost a year now. Regular updates about once a week. Latest one was this morning, but the Conky status widget is not showing the update, even after a reboot. I kind of like having the reminder, so I'd like to get it working again. Where should I start? I looked at the forum and found advice to clean packages, but that didn't help. Others have had a similar problem, but the posts are old, with older operating systems.

Any idea where I should look?
