All is well. LT updated successfully and MS Edge also successfully completed its sixth update.

@Jerry  Well as usual, so far so excellent. Tested your lite tweaks code and all is well. Can now select MS Edge as the default browser and the cache cleaning function appears in the menu after setting as default.

TC

Excellent :)

@Jerry  Sounds great! Thanks. @torreydale  "Technically" MS Edge is not available, (a little nit-picky) since obviously you are referring to Edge for Linux being based on chromium source code, but MS developers are the ones working on it now. There are three insider channels and the dev channel currently is releasing Edge for Linux. The internal telemetry is not particularly invasive or unusual for a browser as long as you are not using your MS account, and it can be opted out of. It may be embrace, extend, extinguish, but it may also lead to easing cross platform integrations over networks.

I'll add Support for setting Edge as default browser in Lite Tweaks this week. We'll need to for the future.

Open up >Preferences in thunderbird. Click on >Advanced. Click on >Config Editor Click on >I accept the risk.
When Config Editor opens locate the following settings:
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http
network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https
Change them both from false to true.
Close Config Editor.
Open up a piece of mail with a link and you will be prompted to choose a web browser and also be allowed to choose one for all such links.

OK, the default mail client in Linux Lite is thunderbird not evolution, and the default web browser is firefox not Edge. What version of Linux Lite are you using? I'm currently testing Edge on Linux Lite 5.x, and yes thunderbird opens firefox to view links in email and I have Edge set as my default browser. However when I open mail from the web with the Edge, links (URLs) display in a new tab as expected. Edge is based on chromium and should integrate with thunderbird so I will look into that. However I will not bother investigating evolution settings as this is a Linux Lite forum, and I do not run evolution on Linux Lite, nor alternatively do I run Edge on my Debian machines with evolution, so I cannot give you solutions for your specific issue here.

Dear people
When I click on an internet link in evolution mail, I get firefox instead of my standard microsoft edge browser. Edge is the default browser in settings. And in edge browser too. Can I change that?

Sincerely,
Sjaak
