Woohoo iam back after a week of installation ..(iam wondering .. where
have i written that before ???)(oh yes at my other post https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/on-topic/64bit-on-old-laptop/ )
any way ... i have found out htat its very easy that you will even not need a tutorial to boot the two OSs together if you had windows installed first .... if you want to do so ... i reccommend backing up every thing .. and then delete linuxlite and install windows and then install linux again ... will be posting screenshots soon but once i actualley make my first boot (uptime 3days 8hours)

PS; yes 3days and 8 hours with absoulotely no lagg on 64bit and my old 1 gig ram

read this first
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/on-topic/64bit-on-old-laptop/
I decided to TRY to fix both threads at one by doing the following.
1-deleting everything on my computer (after backup)
2-installing windows first .(safer and easier)
3- download linuxlite 64 bit instead ...
4-will try this on next Sunday ... and will replay what happened to both posts ... if anything I will do is wrong ... please inform me before

I'm making an assumption here that you intend to publish something like a book/cd package. In the case of self publishing copyrights can be established by literary material that simply has an unchallenged early publication date, or is copyrighted upon initial publication by a publisher. The WWW makes implied copyright establishment fairly easy to accomplish. Your work appears on a given date read online over time by many people (use traffic counters) and the copyright is implied (under US law) enough so that it prevents other publishers from publishng your work without your permission, but the caveat is that your only recourse to challenge infringement would be in US courts.
Philosophically cd copy protection is not acceptable to the open source community, and essentially it is impracticle to begin with, as Linux users with some skill can can easily copy any content from cds using Linux tools anyway. If I were you I would soncern myself with a US copyright if this is literary material and not worry about a copy protected cd, and/or get Callibre from Lite software and publish in E-book form, or even easier use Amazon's e-book publication system.
Copy protect on a removable disk is a waste of your efforts and can backfire on you when disks don't work correctly for those who actually purchase your literary product. If you are paranoid about it use encryption instead and sell the key with the book. Less of a pain for purchasers. The Amazon solution is one of the simplest and safest ways to self publish. There are also now many new small technical media/literary publishers because of the Amazon solution who can help you with self publication. Still... for berginners Amazon's E-book is the first best solution.

I want to use COPY PROTECT app (that one in violet) to burn CDs that I will distribute with my books..... its the only program that features  ACTUALLY copy-protecting your CDs

2- no it doesn't support XP but it supports VISTA though ...

3- I know that Windows 7 will lag badly on 1 gig ram (that's the reason I am here now) but I only need it only for a couple of hours a week and I can handle few to a lot of lag on this hours ...

is there a way I can install windows in it aside Linuxlite

Yes, you can dual boot or run Windows inside a VM in virtualbox.

I need windows to run an app I need in work

May I ask what app are you trying to run? Because honestly, with only 1gb of RAM Windows 7 won't run as desired. I'm dual booting Windows 7 and LL - although I'm actually using LL on a daily basis and haven't booted into Windows for over 2 months I think. If the app is supported on Windows XP you might want to try running XP in virtualbox instead, it'll only need around 512gb. However, if I were you I'd consider adding up at least 1gb of RAM.
Depending on the app you want to use, you could also try ReactOS in VirtualBox, which as read on its website "Imagine running your favorite Windows applications and drivers in an open-source environment you can trust. That's ReactOS. Not just an Open but also a Free operating system."

the spec of his CPU would exclude the possibility of win7 in a virtual machine.
The CPU needs to be hyperthreaded, and have 4-cores instead of 2; the T7400 has neither.

You'll have to check whether it is possible or not for your machine to run either Win 7 or XP.

Hope this helps! :)

Decide whether you want to dual boot Windows or run Windows in a virtual env.

Hi TC, it seems though that the spec of his CPU would exclude the possibility of win7 in a virtual machine.
The CPU needs to be hyperthreaded, and have 4-cores instead of 2; the T7400 has neither.

64bit OS (32-bit on Samsung netbook) installed in Legacy mode on MBR-formatted SSDs (except pi which uses a micro SDHC card):
2017 - Raspberry pi 3B (4cores) ~ [email protected] - LibreElec, used for upgrading our Samsung TV (excellent for the task)
2012 - Lenovo G580 2689 (2cores; 4threads] ~ [email protected] - LL3.8/Win8.1 dual-boot (LL working smoothly)
2011 - Samsung NP-N145 Plus (1core; 2threads) ~ Intel Atom [email protected] - LL 3.8 32-bit (64-bit too 'laggy')
2008 - Asus X71Q (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6/Win8.1 dual-boot, LL works fine with kernel 4.15
2007 - Dell Latitude D630 (2cores) ~ Intel [email protected] - LL4.6, works well with kernel 4.4; 4.15 doesn't work

Decide whether you want to dual boot Windows or run Windows in a virtual env. Your profile reads 32bit with 1gig of RAM but your recent posted Ubuntu screenshots indicate a 64bit Ubuntu OS with LL in a VM. With 32bit you will have to dual boot and use custom install selection. W7 will have to be minimal on 1gig of RAM.

TC
FIRST of all WOW you know that I posted that already
The second of all  I am not running ubuntu .. I customized LinuxLite close enough to ubuntu
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/screenshots/post-your-desktop-screenshots!/360/
just that you say that means that I succeeded in my customization though .....
Third, i am not running 64bit .. am using chrome in 32bit (chrome stooped supporting 32bit but I found their package on a site ...(2014))
FOURTH can you please tell me how can I dual boot it ..?
