Did you install Whisker Menu?

It was the install default menu as far as I remember. I have not installed it from synaptic if that is what you mean.  I have added and removed the standard apps menu to the panel to see if the same problem occurs. The missing menu entry did not show there either.

Whisker Menu button/Rightclick/'Edit Applications' has become inactive (greyed out) and a new menu option I added through Alacarte does not show on the Whisker menu. Also the Whisker layout has reversed - the main list is on the right and the selections are to the left. If I move the whisker button to the right of the panel, the layout is correct. The menu system is the weak point of Linux Lite and is a bit discouraging, having reinstalled numerous times only to restore a working menu. Reinstalling is very time consuming but I really like Whisker menu. Other distros have problems with Whisker Menu too. Just to be sure, I have not clicked the menu restore defaults button at any time. This situation has somehow re-occurred.

Is there any known repair solution, avoiding reinstall? I desperately want to stay with LL2.

TIA
