It's good now.I did "Clear saved session" like gold_finger said and it helps. And for the second issue I found the answer, thanks to rokytnji,at mozilla support. The reason was:
"This can happen if the website's server incorrectly specifies the Internet Media type of the file. It also can happen if the server assigns "Content-Disposition: attachment" to the file".
Thanks!

Hmmmm. I am wondering if you shut down with Firefox left open and now Firefox auto starts because of that?

I have seen this happen when I shut down with a application open. But. It does not persist.
I have no idea why Firefox auto starts on Every startup now.

If left open when shutting down and session got saved, that might be the cause.

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Session and Startup -> Session (tab), and along bottom of window click "Clear saved sessions".  Reboot computer and see if that fixed it.

Lastly. I would make a new user in LL and login as that user and see if Firefox auto launch goes away.
It almost sounds like your /home/username has been compromised somehow.

In Firefox. Default application opener is in firefox toolbar>edit>preferences>applications and is a browser issue.
Not really a LL issue. But you can modify default program opener there.

For gimp.

Just right click on image and pick default program which will be gimp for you.
Edit: sorry. I meant right click on torrent and select torrent app you use.

First thing is that browser starts opens itself when system starts and it's not set up by me to do so.

Look in  Menu>Settings>Session and Startup>Application AutoStart and see if Firefox is set to autostart from there.
If so. Untick the check box next to it.
