  • CPU: AMD Phenom II (old skool!)

  • MEMORY: 4Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: GeForce 450
Thanks, LL-user!  That did it!  I didn't realize it was a Linux issue.  I figured it was something I had configured incorrectly.  You da MAN! (or woman or whatever)

Hi Monkeyman,

I don't have Amazon Prime. Just did a search out of curiosity and found this:

http://www.howtogeek.com/204319/how-to-watch-amazon-instant-video-on-linux/

Have a look, you might want to give one of the both solutions a try. If you get stuck/ need help with them, let us know :)

I can't play any videos on Amazon Prime.  I get a window that pops up stating, "An error occurred and your player could not be updated.  This is likely because your Flash Player or Browser needs to be updated.  This update is required to play back this video."  When I close out that pop up window, it shows something updating (on the Amazon web site) then I get the same pop up window again.  In my settings, I can choose from Silverlight or Adobe Flash Player.  Neither selection changes anything.

Hopefully this is a simple fix.  If not, I just wasted $100 on an Amazon Prime subscription. :(
