Thanks Jerry. Didnt think of the updating the Kernel. Just installed 4.18 and touchpad is working. Marked problem as solved.

Google is your friend - https://askubuntu.com/questions/1049787/lenovo-ideapad-330-touchpad-not-working/

I'd try the LL 4.18 Kernel first.

Hi guys, i bought a new laptop. Its a lenovo ideapad 330. All works fine except the touchpad. It does not work, it is also not listed in settings/mouse and touchpad. Only my usb mouse is visible there in the device tab. Anyone got an idea on were to look for the problem?
