Micro SD problems

(1/1)

Hello!

Did it work before LL?

Some older readers won't read SDHC cards, which is everything 4GB or larger nowadays. Has to do with the larger cards using FAT32 to format them, instead of FAT16.

I have a 4 GB non-SDHC card for an old PocketPC I have that is too old to read SDHCs. I had to special-order it...

Hi Satty,
I don't have an exact solution but maybe this could help.

Every so often I come across subborn USB flash drives that will work fine in one pc/laptop but not in another. One flash drive was perfectly stable with the fat32 filesystem in windows/linux but format it to a different filesystem and it was no longer stable. Maybe something similar is happening with your SD card?

Are you in a position to format the SD card? I'm curious if formating it in LL would clear the error. Or if you have a second SD card maybe you can give that a try.

satty:
Yes , i can see my SD card in Home Folde -> Drives

And Gpart ...

I can`t see it with fdisk -l

I can use my Card + Phone with data cable in Linux Lite and is working.
In Windows XP is working...

Scott:
Hi Satty,

Does GParted see the card? Insert the card into the computer and open GParted with
menu > all > partition drives.

When the GParted window opens, click the Gparted heading at the top of the window and go to devices, is your SD card listed in devices?
