Some feedback :

- no problems with Skypforlinux using my wife's Toshiba !
- I found "the" solution in "askubuntu.com" forum  :
   Using this command to start Skypeforlinux :
   LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l2convert.so /usr/bin/skypeforlinux
And the picture from the camera is OK.

Thanks for your reply.

I did a test with 'guvcview', and the picture is OK.
After that, I started Skypeforlinux, nothing changed.
In  'guvcview', i turn on 'vertical flip' parameter,the picture appears upside down.
I restarted Skypeforlinux, and the picture appears upside-down.

I have searched in différent forums, the problem is well knowned and seems to be present only with Asus notebooks. The problem is not in LinuxLite.

Let me the time to run a test on mys wife's Toshiba notebook and I will come to give you feedback.

@Paul74

Not sure if it will fix skype - but worth try.

Open 'guvcview' (if not installed - Use Lite Software install webcam software)

- Does the video display inverted here too??
On the Video Controls tab under filters you can select Invert

See if it replicates to Skype ?????

Hello,

I just installed Skype for Linux....but image  appears to be upside down.
I didn't find (may be I am a little bit blind....) how to change webcam options. Is there something like "flip" option ?
I try it with cheese, same result.

This webcam appears correctly when I run 'lsusb' command, it's listed as "IMC networks Integrated webcam"

As I have many PC's running LinuxLite, the problem appears on Asus X52J, motherboard  K52JT, LinuxLite 4.8 (64 bits) with all update applied.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.
Have a nice day.
