I do have the latest NVIDIA drivers on-board already so it sounds like I am all set!

Thanks all!

Highly unlikely that you'll have any problem with the monitor.  LL will most likely automatically detect it and adjust to the new size without you having to do anything.  Like rokytnji said, monitors are usually plug 'n play -- just plug it in, turn on computer and it's ready to go.

My 60 inch plasma TV used to be the display for my EEEPC 701SD netbook running AntiX 8.5.
It was a RCA. It finally broke though. I sold the netbook also.

Monitors are usually just plug and play.

xrandr will be your friend in Linux-Lite as well as Nvidia proprietary drivers.

I don't sweat monitors myself.

But if you do.

Do a search for

[name of monitor]   linux

and see what you find.  If it works with other linux distros, it should work w/ LL - at least the linux driver is floating on the internet.   If it works w/ debian or ubuntu, it very likely work w/ LL
since LL is based on ubuntu and ubuntu is based on debian.

I have been looking at better monitors a bit and a lot of them are the widescreen variety which looks nice, but the fine print says something about "if the system supports widescreen".  I am a little confused about what in the system needs to be supporting use of a widescreen.  Is it the OS, or the video card, or??

I am running LL 2.0 with a Core2Duo 3.0ghz and an NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT video card.  What would be the limitation?  How would I know if I can use widescreen?
