I discovered the problem I was having on another system (TrueOS) was that I needed to install a couple of apps in order for Pulse Audio to work. and that'e the abnswer - Linux Lite has Pulse installed and working.

Not really a problem, I think the audio in LL 4.0 is superb! What I'm wondering is, why is it so good? I have used other Linux/BSD systems where the audio is rather poor. Why? what is LL doing that the others are not?
