Title: Problem saving LibreOffice files
Post by: jeffvanderdoes on August 10, 2014, 04:52:48 PM
All,

I'm using latest download of LinuxLite under vmware (64bit).  Got it loaded fine and am able to use it so far with the exception of being able to save a file with LibreOfiice.  It gives a generic message that it had an error saving the file, write error.   Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff, this appears to be a new bug. Try upgrading LibreOffice. Menu, System, Install/Remove Software. Then Mark All Upgrades, Apply.

I have been patiently waiting to see what was up with LibreOffice update. I thought Valtam was holding back the upgrade for some reason and did not want to bug him by asking why.

Valtam explained it in the help manual, "If these held packages are installed prematurely, it could cause that program to become unstable or even worse, unusable. You may also inadvertently destabilize your system."
