Also, I was amazed to not see a clipboard manager in the list

Here is what makeuseof says about this:

"What is a Clipboard Manager and Why Should I Use One?

Clipboard Managers are tools that run in the background of your system and keep a history of the content that you have saved to your clipboard. This means that never again will you accidentally overwrite content in your clipboard and never again will you lose something you just copied by closing an application.

They are great tools because you no longer have to worry about overwriting the content in the clipboard, or losing it by closing an app. Perhaps, like me, you use a clipboard manager while programming or writing. I rely quite a lot on the ability to copy many things in succession and to then use the history to quickly select the content I want at any given time. If you’ve never tried a clipboard manager, then you owe it to yourself to try one out."

Here is one for XFCE:

There was one program that I use on Windows which is obscure, unique, and not updated in 14 years.  So I thought "no way is there a Unix equivalent".   Well, I was wrong !

The program is YAC - Yet Another Callerid program (ironic title for the only one of its kind).

But it inspired a unix program NCID - Network CallerID which has servers and clients for a variety of platforms, and even has a "gateway" to connect with a YAC server on a windows machine.

Hello,

I have added a new alternative to the list today, 'EasyTAG'.
I installed it via the Synaptic package manager. The link is to the main page.

I have been using this for just over a month now and it has worked out as a good replacement.

I like using Audio Tag Tool.
Basic and easy to use.
sudo apt-get install tagtool
Linux Lite 4.0 64 bit
Using screen tearing mod.
Lenovo 6072-BVU
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz E6550
4Gb ram
250 GB HD

Thankful for this information. I installed it the same evening, and I installed some additional software from the list (important is that I did not try this option before, now I know it is available, for additional software installation). I did not have time to try it but I will. I am an accountant, and for commercial purposes, I will need Windows on other computer, because  of accounting software demands. I will be using Linux OS for personal use

I haven't posted on here in a long time sorry for that. I just wanted to say that, with my older hardware config Linux Lite is and has been the best choice. Rock-solid and dependable. I have tried other Distros and I find none as good as this one. A thousand thumbs up!  :D
