This just started for me today.

Google Chrome showing old version of Adobe Flash as a plugin

Google Chrome showing newest version of Adobe Flash as a component

Cannot run the flash portion of www.speedtest.net

Positive news was beta.speedtest.net was a decent alternative.  The negative news was I couldn't stream a church service this morning using Google Chrome.  Firefox worked in that case.

Chrome Apps section under flash that will give you the option of either one.  You also have several flash controls in Firefox Apps that will allow you to use either or and to switch back and forth as needed.

I bet there is a addon that will turn html5 on or off and replace it with flash.

Chrome gives you that ability in the settings, it's just that html5 is enabled by default from now on.

I've got a Acer C710  Chromebook. It and my Android Samsung Galaxy S7 edge are the only gear I run Chrome Browser on.

I'll have to check this out          later on.  I guess. I bet there is a addon that will turn html5 on or off and replace it with flash.
