There's a fix which which has re-enabled my extensions straight away. It involves allowing FF to collect data and selecting allow FF to run & install Studies.

full details here
https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

As soon as the bug is fixed by FF that data collection option can be changed if preferred.

Edit: oops, I didn't notice trinidad was pointing to the same link! Anyway, no harm.

Yes some extensions are failing to work properly. Some web sites will crash a tab, others will display a warning in Firefox. Others will continue to work just fine. Also... I'm not sure why yet, but only my two Linux Lite Firefoxes (Ubuntu based) seem to have this problem and it has intermittantly come and gone a few times recently which is odd as well. None of my Debian machines display this behavior. Could be a cert difference between ESR and the regular accelerated releases in Ubuntu. I expect a solution will be forthcoming shortly.

Okay this is the latest information on this. Apparently there is an emergency fix available if you enable studies in Firefox.

Hi,

for some Firefox users their installed extensions are being blocked and shown as not authorized etc. This is a glitch in the certification system and Mozilla say they know the problem and will restore everything asap.

see https://www.zdnet.com/article/firefox-add-ons-disabled-en-masse-after-mozilla-certificate-issue/
