Hi Jhellno,

If you haven't already made a decision CompuLab is rumored to make great stuff. Linux Mint is joined with them to produce their MintBox PC.

Is an ASUS eeePC701SD or ASUS 901 small enough? Neither are fanless but are very quiet. There used to be lots for sale (and cheap!) in the US. I run LL2.0 without problems on both models. My 701SD has been running 24/7 for six months, as a remote access server. The 901 runs LL2.0 on a 32GB class 10 SDHC as the primary SSD is too small capacity for LL2.0

HTH  :)
1) Lenovo T520 i5 LL3.8 8GB ram, fast & stable
2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

I would check if the machine works on debian and/or ubuntu.  If so, it is highly like to work for LL.  Whatever you ordered, make sure there is a reasonable return time.  And when you get the machine, try a liveCD/liveUSB of LL
and see if everything works.

Also, there is a lonnngggggg list of retailers in my website (signature) -> retailers -> linux preinstall vendors.

I like the Shuttle one but their site says

Q. What is XS35V4/XS36V4 support operating system?
2014/04/30
Due to the Intel chipset spec reason, the XS35V4/XS36V4 only supports Windows 8/8.1 64bit operating system.

But I do not know whether or not to take that with a grain of salt.
Some hardware vendors never even know the linux option though I guess if Mac won't install. That is enough for them.
To be on the safe side. I guess
Oooh, not looking good.

But that still does not mean anything. I am afeared on what to recommend though, from here, due to my lack of hardware knowledge,  since I had that result.
