Yahoo to replace Google as default U.S. Firefox search engine

altman:
As stated above , either DDG or LXQuick , but it wouldn t be good for revenues .

Mike:
DDG would have been a better choice for us but I can see why they went with Yahoo as a revenue stream.

pete284:
I thought they should go with Duck Duck Go.

Apparently Apple looking at ditching Google from Safari next year and considering Bing or Yahoo. However, a recent survey of Apple users showed the vast majority want Google search. Apple's claim that they care about consumers but I bet they care more about their personal vendetta than their customers' best interests.

Same here as  Sheng-Chieh.

Only bitch I pitched was at http://www.linuxvoice.com/voice-of-the-masses-why-are-systemd-debates-so-toxic/
Which has nothing to do with Yahoo. At least I can control that.

shengchieh:
Although I use DDG (DuckDuckGo) for private searching, I am not surprised FF switched.   Google now has Chrome, a competitor of FF.
For me it makes no difference since i always change default to DDG.
