Title: What media player does Slimjet browser use?
Post by: m654321 on October 07, 2016, 11:41:23 AM
I don't have adobe flashplayer on my PC so of course I'm unable to play certain online video clips in either Firefox or Qupzilla web browsers.
Interestingly, though where Firefox & Qupzilla fail, Slimjet appears capable - therefore it makes me ask does anyone know what media player Slimjet is using - is it generally known - might not be an easy question to answer as SJ is closed source software...?

It uses same PepperFlash plugin as Chrome.  If you open its config folder you'll see the PepperFlash folder there.  Open file manager, View -> Show hidden files (or Ctrl+h), open the ".config" folder, then open the "slimjet" folder and you'll see it there.  You can also see the plugin by typing "slimjet://plugins" into the address bar of the browser.  (It shows as "Adobe Flash Player - Version: 23.0.0.166" in mine.)
