I haven't seen the video but I can tell you this, MS is trying to burrow their way into linux and once they have a firm foot hold, look out.

But isn't Linux protected by open-source licensing (and the open-source culture) from the very idea of being taken over? I've believed that the power is with The People, and The People would never let Linux's resources be taken behind closed doors. (I also haven't watched the video.)

Microsoft has a Platinum seat on the board of director of the Linux Foundation.
My guess, it's not for people to get Linux running... keep your enemies closer.

A nice find: Lunduke is lucid, his presentation logical, and providing a timely heads-up. It makes one think and contemplate future developments. Well worth watching!

I've watched the whole video, and it certainly is worrying. Microsoft are known to be part of the Prism programme, and very profit-driven.

I'm sure I'm not the only one whose attraction to Linux OS includes the desire to get beyond the reach of the corporate world and the stasi-snoops.

So - surely we personal computer OS users are a tiny part of who the Linux Foundation cater for - the industrial, military and commercial systems which are Linux based? Do we have much influence?

What is the danger? How autonomous are Ubuntu-Canonical-Linux Lite, can we cast off and go our merry way?
