Really? It's kind of pricey. Honestly, these days if you want interaction then you're better off using something like Medium, svbtle, or Posthaven. Both svbtle and Posthaven have pledged to make your posts available forever. Not sure the same can be said about Ghost although it is nice that they make their platform open-source if you want to host your own.

If you're just starting out, you should consider a static site. Github and Gitlab both offer free static site hosting. You can even use Dropbox or something similar. There are TONs of static site generators to choose from. Most use Markdown too, similar to Ghost.
