Use the guide by gold_finger OR
install Mint to your selected partition by selecting "other" in partitioning and install the Mint grub to / of the mint partition. Then reboot into LL after install and term "sudo update-grub" should update grub, allowing for LL grub to remain but adding mint to the boot menu.

Hi,

Trying to finish off a build of a Intel NUC for a friend, not a lot of time due to work.
Anyway,
The NUC is "Dual Booting" LL2.8(with Kernel 4.2) & Win7 in legacy mode, after some hair pulling, and then finding out the BIOS is bugged.

I now want to add Linux Mint,
So that it "Triple Boots" but I remember reading LL grub does something special to make it easier to "Dual Boot" with Windows.

So I have to admit I'm not quite sure what will happen if I now install Linux Mint..??
Will I loose the Grub that currently shows LL & Win7, or will Mint just be added.??
Do I install it, and immediately run "Grub Repair", or run a LL "Live" and do something..??

Any pointers on how to do this would be appreciated.

Thanks...
