Title: Sourceforge blocking downloads
Post by: Moltke on July 22, 2020, 03:18:02 PM
Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :)

I just found I can't download or do anything else in that site because of US sanctions as stated in new SF terms and conditions https://slashdotmedia.com/terms-of-use/:
Quote
Users residing in countries on the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control sanction list, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Sudan and Syria, may not post Content to, or access Content available through, SourceForge.net. Slashdot Media handles user Registration Data in accordance with the Sites’ Privacy Policy.

Luckily, LL  is not hosted there anymore but there are a couple of projects hosted on that site I follow and I know I can use a vpn and I do use protonvpn but still ... such a pain and a dissapointment!
