Tks Torreydale. Use Chromium 32bit as standard .  However trying out Slimjet 32bit . Hence as based on Chrome thought what worked for Chromium would also work for Slimjet ( both 32 bit). Part of my learning curve - Bit like infinite number of monkeys and infinite number of typewriters :)

This doesn't address your question exactly, but installing Chromium via Lite Software includes pepperflash.  Since Slimjet is also based on Chromium, you might want to consider that as your browser option.

Trying out Slimjet browser as mentioned elsewhere by  Bugfree.
Can't see to get pepperflash nonfree 32 bit installed - No BBC Iplayer function.
Any ideas - is pepperflashfree dead now with Chrome 32bit?

Looking in Synaptic for slimjet  properties - installed files
/opt/slimjet/PepperFlash
/opt/slimjet/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so
/opt/slimjet/PepperFlash/manifest.json
 are present.
But under slimjet://plugins  pepperFlash does not appear??
what am I missing? Tks

All I see is
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 21.0.0.197Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0
Which are disabled.

• quote="flashpeak" There is actually one catch about 32-bit linux. We wouldn't be able to continue provide flash updates to the 32-bit version of Slimjet for linux. Originally, we just grabbed it from the Chrome package. After Chrome dropped 32-bit linux support, we will have no source of flash updates for linux. Sorry, guys.
