Yeah, I "HAVE TO" deal with Win10 now, it's my job. Like I mentionnes in another thread, somebody gave me a Surface (1) Tablet.
It has Windows 10. I have to treat updates like a virus and do weird stuff because I DONT want them on this resource limited device. I mean, manually stopping services and put read-only files to prevent it from re-creating folders/file and forcing updates on me... its not just slap on the wrist anymore. Since W10 I have seen more broken OS/apps then in the whole decade of Windows7.

Why not Mac then? Because I dont want just a plastic screwdriver with a safety tip to work, I want the whole toolbox, MY toolbox! ;)

i used Linux off and on, windows was my main use, both are useful, not much bad to say about either, i now have 2 pc's, one windows (newer) and my now 6 year old PC, that now has Linux lite 3.8, Linux is my main PC, my much much newer windows 10 PC is my back up,

the things i don't like about windows is not much, its the window mandatory updates , you can stall them but not stop them, that is part of why it has so many hiccups and problems, takes for ever and sometimes it hours.

with Linux, it never  took that long and the Linux updates are never mandatory, you update when you want to manually , thats what i do , in fact, i check for Linux updates after i turn my PC on every day, before i even use it , that way no surprises , that is just how i roll, when i want to . loving my Linux.

Linux lets people baby sit them selfs , unlike windows(Microsoft) trying to be the big brother or the god father, lol.
my windows PC upstairs is more for my husband, so i do keep it updated.

Bonus : I never saw the automatic Windows repair thing able to "repair" anything. Btw, it can't be cancelled and takes forever to complete. At least I don't have to ask myself "Where did my life go?", I know exactly where... ;)
yes thats what i mean by FEATURE FULL CD i meant that its all lies , i mean when i knew that ll is able to boot from cd directly i wished if i knew this before , i had thousands of times where i needed such things it costed me almost 100 $ to get all my data back (i assume that this tec. uses linux cd thats why he was able to get all the data back)

LoL, I dont know how many hours or installation that was but at least it wasn't with an hired technician. ;)

Reminds me of a Windows XP (I think) install I made years ago. Took an eternity installing all updates, drivers and stuff.
"Ok, last step, lets go for an antivirus!" I told myself, so I type something like donwload.com instead of download.com (Yeah I know, but that site was the place then...). 5 seconds later, had 20 pop ups buzzing and flashing weird stuff, pulled the plug. Too late, had infections wall-to-wall. I'm stubborn so I cleaned and fix the damn thing. Took two days of work... for a typo. Was quite a learning experience, hehe!

they said windows is easy, they lied

hhhh a great story that happened to me wanted to share with those saying Linux is hard, it,s a long but funny story and it happened 100% with me anyway off-we-go :

--in my pc,s first few days, I had windows  7 ultimate (it was the latest then) I was a window geek so the reason this happing wasn't me being a noob, anyway I had windows with no archive manager came in default, unable to extract zips and 7zs in any way, and dont have a browser to install an archive manger from, and IE not working , (WINDOWS WORKS 100 PERCENT OUT-OFTHEBOX) ANY WAY LUCKLY I had another pc that had chrome installed so I was able to get 7zip ok everything cool in windows, whats your 2nd task after installinng windows and installing all the apps you need (hands up) ,an antivirus huh, afer serching for hours (its a matter of 50 dollar per month so it decierves) I found kaspersky to be the best antivirus for windows, downloaded it, downloaded adittional programs that were required for it, installed it again, waited for 30 min only for it to install, and then , a popup appears to form the ottom, actualley its normal for you to find trojan and viruses in windows so kaspersky telling me that (even that it's my first day with windows) i have viruses wasnt a big deal, pressed on it and it said that I needed to restart (a big mistake) I pressed start menu and before I click shutedown I found something weird, I found all the apps I installed inthe menu having a white page insteasd of their logo, I then knew taht this is because kaspersky deleted them , I said ojk if they have viruses then they must be deleted what was even weirder was that some widnows default programs lick calculator or notepad was deleted, weird right, I shut down my pc and opened it, it didnt  even boot ,I got worried, I put on my windows cd and luckly windows cd (COMES WITH LOTS OF FEATURES LIKE FIXING YOURE INSTALLATION WITHOUT ANY DATA LOSS totally bs) anyway i choosed that and it took an hour and after it finished I booted my pc, it didnt open again , I had no other options other that wiping all my data and reinstalling windows, i di s and luckly  :P after few hours i was able to succesfully installe windows aw boy i forgot to take a backup of 7zip , ahh i have to open my other computer again reinstall all my apps and now search for ANOTHER antiviruse to choose..after tah I chose avast, it didnt dlete all my stuff (luckly) and it worked well, then I wanted to install an essential app for me PS I installed it and it took me another hour, then I had it, yet with avast working in background and adoe new creative cloud app ,PS lagged like hell , I had no other option other thatn waiting for 15 minutes every time I want to edit a picture I have, windows is easy right?? over the yeasr si have benn searching for a fix to this laggs , none worked, untill a boring another old site recommended something calledlinux I said whats that linux, and immedatiely I remmembered linux that we took at school, and I said that this is my best bet , and immediantly and actually in the same day I have searched the web and guess which os won that hard fight , (hands up again) , its linux lite and till now it has been the best decision I have made ever , now I have a video editor a wb browser with tons of extensions an FREE downloader and a program to edit my pictures and even the best a program to create vectors, anyway I want to thank every body that ever had contruibeted anything  for the growth of this ass-kicking os keep the good work guys
