I just tested the Ubuntu 91 build for Impish and it doesn't work on 20.04 yet. You'll have to wait until it is ready.

Just curious if I should just download this from the thunderbird website or wait for LL to update their package to the 9x version.

It has a ton of new exchange, and webdav/caldav/etc... sync things in it which is useful for me.
