Mozilla will disable Adobe Flash Player in Firefox 69, which is scheduled to launch in September this year.
Here's the link with the info https://news.softpedia.com/news/mozilla-to-disable-flash-in-firefox-69-524528.shtml

It was only a matter of time. ;)

Maybe so, but many sites still rely on flash. I use a webapp from a site which runs on adobe's flash so this is a killer for me since this particular app works better in firefox than it does in chromium.

Nice one Jerry! I see fewer and fewer sights that still use flash. This lead time gives plenty of notice to change, for the few that still do. There have been security concerns for a mighty long time. The last site I frequented, that used flash, dropped it 4-6 months ago.
My back up browser to Firefox is Vivaldi. For the past two years I've never used flash with it. Hasn't been a problem.

What will be the alternative going forward? What will be the future of content that used to use flash?
