@bluzeo,
If someone brand new to Linux overall came to Linux Lite from Windows, and Jupiter Broadcasting was their link, then Linux Lite owes them a thank you. I believe all Jerry is saying is that isn't the normal path to attract his target audience.
It is more than likely that Jupiter Broadcasting's audience is comprised of Linux users, or the occasional Linux-curious MacOS user or admirer like yourself. Windows users is the bigger audience, and that is the target of this project. But all are welcome however they get here.
If Linux on the desktop wants to move from 2% market share to 4%, it can't keep preaching to the choir. And you have to admit, your and my Linux podcasts of choice tend to do that. The way we can help is to take the knowledge we gain from them and share it with others in our sphere of influence. I, for one, am experiencing success sharing what I know with Windows users. I think if I talked to someone already using Linux, instead of me talking them into Linux Lite, they'd be focused on talking me out of it. The old "my distro is better than yours" scenario.
Cheers
