Naughty, naughty! That's the next worst thing to adultery. Here in NC, shortly after he had to cough up big money for only buying one city business license for his several uptown (downtown) parking lots for several years, our mayor recently went to prison for what EVERY politician does - exchanging bribes for favors.

He didn't do anything especially bad, mind you - it was simply that his arrogance about the whole thing triggered an FBI sting operation. On top of THAT, despite his attorney's warnings, he received more time for voting when the law specifically denies convicted felons that privilege.

Another of our former mayors, now governor, wouldn't make his tax returns public during his election campaign (hiding something, eh?), and is now under investigation over his ties to the banking industry. In a nutshell, they're all pretty much filthy, disgusting, blood-sucking bedbugs...

Hello Rob,

Ms. May is one of the caught, her husband was paying for porn downloads out of her government expenses/public funds, and she got caught for it.

Wirezfree - you're so right. I wouldn't trust any of the politicians.

Monkeyman, my point too. :)
The Home Office are the government department to do with laws. You're correct she is a politician.
The ones who do the actual surveillance and spying are SiS this consists of many sections/departments, according to wikipedia some of the SIS sections are MI5, MI6, GCHQ, DI.
GCHQ for example do some surveillance for the NSA, it didn't specify if the surveillance they do for the NSA is on UK/EU citizens or US citizens.
The isps like to stop downloads because it means they can then resell all that unused bandwidth customers have already paid them for.

The pretence of the policy is it's for terrorist apprehension...
However on the channel 5 interview with Theresa May, she revealed the law will be good because it will

Yeah, cuz Al Queda is famous for torrenting last weeks episode of The X Factor.

Being from the States, I don't know who Ms May is (she sounds like a politician which automatically puts her at the bottom of my Christmas card list) nor do I know what the Home Office is.
