    • Linux Lite OS

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz

  • MEMORY: 32Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: nVidia GeForce GTX 1650

  • Kernel: 5.x
What I really like about this for newbies, is that it detected my USB automatically. Therefore virtually no interaction is needed.

@Jocklad

Did you open a terminal where you saved it, then do the:
Code: [Select]
sudo ./Etcher-linux-x64.AppImage

Yes that did it Wirezfree.

Did not realise that the terminal had to be opened from the home folder location........ :) :) :) :) :)

Many thanks.

To me it looks horrible, very Fisher Price like.
I guess it takes the simple logical approach... select source, select destination, Flash

I guess the simplest would be...
right click on an iso, flash to xyz
Where xyz is any USB drive currently detected.

It looks nice, but it seems kind of unnecessary to use javascript/node to create such a tool. It's interesting to see them using the appimage format though.

Etcher - http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/05/etcher-usb-image-burner-tool-linux-open-source

Just tried it, very nice :)

Download it, make it executable, then:

Code: [Select]
sudo ./Etcher-linux-x64.AppImage
(for 64bit)
