On external backup storage I have some Windows Vista backup files (vhd format). I would like to look inside these and extract anything useful ( work files etc)  before deleting the vhds  ( circa 400GB worth!!) and regaining some  welcome storage space.  The VHDs are gathering cobwebs and are no longer needed once I have taken anything of use out.  I do not have (or wish to) a Windows OS machine.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
