Post by: Jesse R Bassett on May 31, 2020, 07:55:03 PM
Hey,
Why is it my USB wifi adapter says its connectd to my network yet when I try to surf the web and such using wifi in Linux Lite 5.0 I can't? However when I use my phone's usb tethering I am able to get online? How do I fix this? The WIFI says its connected to my home network too...

With the WiFi connected, what's the output of:

Code: [Select]
sudo lshw -C network

inxi -n

sudo lsusb

sudo lspci

ping -c5 8.8.8.8

rfkill list all

separate the output for each one please.

I actually went back to using my ethernet. It seems faster on the ethernet and more secure anyways. My IT guy told me that using WIFI is not as fast on the computer. Please mark this as solved Jerry!
